My wife wants a divorce. We have 7 kids living with me most of the time. I'm unemployed she works.
Which should we file first? Bankruptcy or Divorce?

Additional Details:
My wife just recently moved out, I still haven''t found work. I get housing and food assistance.
I''ve been told she only takes the kids to avoid paying child support. I am willing to pay as much
as I can I need assistance.
Legal Topic Area: Bankruptcy in SD

This question is far too complex to answer in this type of forum. You need to have a consultation with a bankruptcy attorney in your area who can get all the necessary information and analyze all the relevant factors. Depending on how things are with your wife, you may need to be represented by separate attorneys, so you may each want to get consultations separately.
