Can I just file bankruptcy against my credit cards and nothing else?

Legal Topic Area: Bankruptcy in CO

When you file bankruptcy, the proceeding must include all of your debts and all of your assets. You cannot pick and choose which debts to list.

Whether a listed debt is discharged depends on the kind of debt it is. But even when you know a debt will not be discharged, you must list it in the schedules.

You are generally free to reaffirm debts that you want to pay after the case is filed. Or simply to continue to pay the debt voluntarily.
